2025 Murder Mystery Fundraiser

The Friends of Tuscarawas County Public Library’s Main Library will host their 4th Annual Murder Mystery Dinner on Saturday, March 1st at 6:30 PM and Sunday, March 2nd at 1:00 PM. The Friends of the Main Library are a 501(c)3 organization that raises funds for special projects at the library.

The “Paint the Town Dead” Murder Mystery Dinner is $50 per person and requires tickets to be purchased in advance at the Main Library in New Philadelphia. Tickets can be purchased by cash, check, or card. Tickets purchased with card will have a $3 per ticket transaction fee. Reservations are required by February 24th.

Local reclusive, and wildly eccentric, modern artist Michael Angelino has announced that he is auctioning off his latest work and donating the proceeds to a local non-profit. However, he isn’t telling us who gets the money until the night of the unveiling and gala auction. It’s just like him to cause a scene, but with a life-changing donation at stake, has he gone too far this time?

The murder mystery is written by Tamara Benson and ticketholders are encouraged to put on their gala-worthy attire and come paint the town red!

Dinner, which is included with each ticket, will feature a buffet-style dinner from Kathy’s Catering and includes baked chicken, roast beef, seven-layer salad, broccoli salad, parsley potatoes, Johnny Marzetti, rolls, and choice of four desserts.

After dinner, guests will be able to ask questions to help determine who is the culprit, and those at each table will put forth theories after the interrogations. The table with the best guess will be the winner.

The Main Library is located at 121 Fair Ave. NW in New Philadelphia. For more information on the show, call 330-364-4474 ext. 221.
